The Khameleon Workbench represents a profile driven ‘landing page’ for end users to quickly have access to reports, data entry points, and task notifications relative to their particular role within the organization. There are a variety of standard Workbenches available in Khameleon, each intended to provide streamlined access to the elements of information most frequently required by a particular user or executive group, eliminating the requirement for log-ins to multiple source applications or the request of having a series of reports ran on a weekly basis. The Khameleon Workbench is designed to accommodate all of these requirements under a single umbrella, for both internal and external users.
The reports, favorites, menus, and users associated with a particular Workbench are easily configurable by the Workbench Administrator. Reporting through the Khameleon Workbench is accomplished using various components from the Khameleon Business Intelligence Suite.
Khameleon Business Intelligence Reporting offers a catalog of standard reports designed to accommodate the basic reporting requirements of virtually any business organization. Khameleon Business Intelligence resides over several platforms ranging from the manipulation of existing reports, the creation of new reports, administration of the reporting library, and the publishing of report pages to Khameleon Workbenches. The primary tools used to manage each of these platforms are Oracle Business Intelligence Discoverer, and Oracle Portal. Each of these platforms will be reviewed below.
