Close an Incident



When an incident is complete and can be closed, go to the Resolution Tab of the Incident Detail.


1. Enter the resolution details:

               Resolution Code        Pre-defined codes that categorize the resolution (required)

Resolution Type        Additional pre-defined categorization of the resolution. (optional)

Resolution Text        Description of the resolution. This can be pre-defined based on the resolution code or free form text. (required)


2. Click Close.  If there are notes entered for the incident, select whether to leave them open, close them now, or view the notes. Then click OK.


3. Finally, select whether to close the incident now or select a date on which it should be closed. Click OK.
