Commission Payments

Go to Processing> Commissions> Edit/Verify Commissions

Here, all Orders ready for commissions to be paid are displayed by Sales Rep. To view All orders, regardless of Sales Rep, click the ‘Detail Search’ button.

The details of the commission calculation can be viewed by checking the ‘Sel’ checkbox by a record and clicking the ‘Drill Down’ button. To see the invoice information, check the ‘Sel’ checkbox by a record and click the ‘Invoice Details’ button.

● Order information: Line 1 33.33 GP, Line 2 44.44 GP, Total Order GP 34.52

● Line 1 was invoiced.

5% comm pct on 150 (invoice) = 7.5

5% comm pct on 100 (cost) = 5.0

Comm Due Invoice GP (inv-cost) = 2.50

Comm Due Order GP 7.5 (invoice*comm pct) * .3452 = 2.59

● Line 2 was invoiced

5% comm pct on 18 (invoice) = .9

5% comm pct on 10 (cost) = .5

Comm Due Order GP .9 (invoice*comm_pct) * .3452 = .31

In the end Total Comm Due is 2.90 based on Inv GP and total comm due based on ord GP is 2.90

● The last invoice for line 2 made the order fully invoiced. Users cannot add lines to the order unless Fully Invoiced is not checked. Users with the Modify Fully Invoice priv can uncheck the flag.

● Created an item commission exception for my service item so User Entered (mod unit cost) will be used for commission cost basis.

● Created line 3 for service item, 100 cost, 150 price as a scheduled invoice with 4 sequences.

● Invoice sequence 1: 150 * .25 = 37.5 net invoice. Cost of this invoice is 100 * .25 or 25.00. Commission due is 37.5 * .05 = 1.875, 25 * .05 = 1.25, 1.875 – 1.25 = .625 cents comm due (invoice lines GP). Order GP is 33.96% = 1.875 * .3396 = .63675. Commission cost is based on 100 due to item exception to use User Entered value.

● Release sequence 2, 3, and 4 so order would be invoiced in full. 3 milestone sequences each with .63 commission due per line * 3 = 1.89. Commission due on all 4 sequences together is 2.5.
