Determining User Type

There are three types of user licenses in Khameleon:

1) System User, 2) Workbench User, and 3) Interface User

Users that need access to both Khameleon forms and Portal are system users. Users that only require access to their workbench/portal and applicable web forms are workbench users.  Interface users are users whose time is interfaced from other systems or their time is entered through another user.

System and Workbench users need to be set up as described in the Set Up Users section. Interface users do not need the processing environment nor the portal fields entered since the interface user cannot process anything nor access portal.

The number of purchased licenses and available licenses are displayed in the top right section of the Set Up Users page.  The total number of available licenses is the number of purchased licenses minus the active users for the user type.  It is important to make all users inactive that no longer need access, so they don't count against the available licenses.

The “Khameleon” (owner) user does not count against the total number of active purchased/remaining users.  When you reach the total number of purchased users for a given user type, you will not be able to add any more of that type of user.  If you need additional users, contact Khameleon support to purchase more licenses, and then the number will be adjusted.
