Notes Anywhere & Task Notifications Overview

Notes Anywhere & Task Notifications are terms used interchangeably for Note records that can be created from a variety of sources from within the Khameleon application.

Notes Anywhere is accessed by clicking the icon on the tool-bar while in a Khameleon form or screen.  This icon is only enabled when the user is currently in a Notes Enabled form.  When in a Notes Enabled form where there are active notes present for the source object, the icon appears as  .

A source object (the Khameleon key item to which the note is anchored) could be Order, Order Line, Project, Customer, Invoice, Incident, etc.  Because of this, the position of the cursor is often critical in the display of Note values based on the object of the cursor.  An example of this would be clicking the Notes icon from the Customer Balances Aged screen in Accounts Receivable – with the cursor in the customer number field, notes for the customer will be called, whereas with the cursor down below on an open invoice, notes specific to the invoice will be called.
